Attending your appointment

On Arrival 

  • Please do not take paracetamol or ibuprofen prior to your appointment. 

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time but please remain in your car until someone comes to greet you.   

  • On arrival at the Centre (for footcare/gym support), please park under the canopy by the front doors and call 0118 901 6000 or sound your horn so we know you have arrived. For oxygen treatment, please park in the designated places. While you wait please put on your face covering. We will be staggering appointment times to avoid people crossing over. 

  • A member of the team will come and greet you. They will run through a quick verbal assessment and do a contactless temperature check. If we feel you are not well, we will ask you to return home and call NHS 111 if you are showing any COVID-symptoms. 

  • We will walk with you to the relevant entrance for your appointment, this will be around the outside of the building following the one-way system. 

  • We will ask you to sanitise your hands as you enter the building.  

  • Please follow any instructions given to you by any of our team and follow the signage. 

  • Please note reception and the social area will remain closed so you will need to bring your own water or refreshment with you if needed. 

  • Please always wear a face covering whilst at the Centre. This includes the car park and all areas of the building. If you are unable to wear a face covering BMSTC will provide you with a visor to wear whilst at the Centre instead. Please let us know if you require this when your appointment is made.  

After your appointment

  • When your appointment has finished, one of our team will walk with you back to your car. 

  • It is important that you arrive on time and leave as soon as possible after your appointment to allow our team to sanitise the area ready for the next person.

  • We will not be able to take donations at reception at the moment. If you would like to make a donation, it would be most beneficial if you could set up a standing order or make a donation online. If you would like to donate via cash or cheque, could you please bring your donation in an envelope with your name clearly written on it and place it into the donation bucket.  

 

Please do not attend the Centre if: 

  • You feel unwell with any symptom, in particular a raised temperature, a new persistent cough, or a loss or change to your taste or smell. 

  • You have a positive COVID-19 test and it has been less than 10 days since the virus has cleared.  

  • You have been in contact with anyone who has had a positive COVID-19 test within the last 14 days. 

  • You have been asked to self isolate by the Track and Trace team. 

  • You rely on Community Transport such as Readibus.  

  • You live in a care home. 

  • You need personal care for bladder or bowel incontinence issues. 

  • You require assistance from a member of the Centre team to enter the building or transfer yourself in and out of your car. You may bring someone to help with your transfer.  

  • You do not have an appointment. You will not be permitted into the Centre.
