Attending your appointment

(last updated: 26 January 2022)

Before Arrival

  • Please do a Lateral Flow test before attending the Centre.

On Arrival

  • Please only attend the Centre if you have a booked appointment.
  • Please arrive in time for your appointment. If you are early please remain in your car.

  • On arrival at the Centre please enter the Centre at the designated entrance. Please put on your face-covering or oxygen mask before entering the building.

  • If someone is driving you, we ask that they remain at the Centre whilst you have your treatment, in case you need to leave earlier than expected.

  • When you arrive a member of the team will run through a quick verbal assessment and do a contactless temperature check. If we feel you are not well, we will ask you to return home and call NHS 111 if you are showing any Covid symptoms.

  • We will ask you to sanitise your hands as you enter the building.

  • Please follow any instructions given to you by any of our team and follow the signage.

  • Please note reception and the social area will remain closed so you will need to bring your own water or refreshment with you if needed.

  • Please always wear a face-covering whilst at the Centre. This includes the car park and all areas of the building. If you are unable to wear a face-covering BMSTC will provide you with a visor to wear whilst at the Centre instead. Please let us know if you require this when your appointment is made.

After your appointment

  • It is important that you arrive on time and leave as soon as possible after your appointment to allow our team to sanitise the area ready for the next person.

  • If you would like to make a donation it would be most beneficial if you could set up a standing order or make a donation online. For more information please visit here.  Alternatively, we are able to take card, cash or cheques payable to BMSTC.

Please do not attend the Centre if:

  • You feel unwell with any symptom, in particular a raised temperature, a new persistent cough, or a loss or change to your taste or smell.

  • If you have tested positive for Covid (either PCR or Lateral Flow tests). Please follow the current isolation guidance
