Update from the Berkshire MS Therapy Centre – 2 October

October 1, 2020 | Southmedia

Your weekly update

We were really pleased to have Ruth back to the Centre this week for the first footcare appointments since March. Donned in her PPE, she welcomed her first ‘customers’ back. Ruth is contacting everyone who has expressed an interest in having a footcare appointment. If you haven’t heard back from her, please be patient as demand is high at the moment. You can read more about booking an appointment here: https://www.bmstc.org/footcare-centre

As it is now October, I feel it is OK to mention the ‘C’ word: Christmas. In a ‘normal’ year our Christmas Cards would have been on sale for a month already with people either buying up their favourite design early…or complaining that Christmas is getting earlier every year! This year we have decided not to sell Christmas Cards – Christmas cards involve a significant financial outlay and this year with everything so uncertain, especially our finances, we felt unable to commit the funds to buy stocks. But Christmas is not cancelled. Over the next few weeks, we will be launching the opportunity to send e-cards to support the Centre and will be launching our annual Winter Draw with your chance to win £1,000 in John Lewis Vouchers. I am sure some Christmas themed events will also be in the works….

In other items on the blog this week include an update about the flu vaccination, MS research update, a reminder about your chance to share your views about the hydrotherapy pool in Reading and a reminder to return any old oxygen masks you may have.

Have a great week

Pip and the team
