It has been a long time since we closed the Centre back in March.
We continue to work hard to support our members the best we can and over the last few weeks, this has meant some intensive work to prepare to restart our face to face services once again.
Today I am pleased to share with you our 'roadmap' back to the Centre.
For the last 20 years, we have designed a Centre that encourages people to come together but, for now, we must redesign how we operate to keep people apart. We know it will look and feel very different for a long while and it is really important that anyone planning to attend face to face services reads the new procedures carefully.
There will be many changes to keep you, our volunteers and team safe. These include reducing the number of people in the building and no one entering the building without an appointment.
We will start with some ‘in gym’ sessions for those meeting the clinical criteria in line with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists guidelines, followed by footcare and surface pressure oxygen treatment.
We would like to thank MailForce, Rainbow Scrubs and Syngenta for providing PPE equipment for our team and helping to get us ready to restart. While we establish and evaluate our new procedures all sessions will be led by members of staff. As we expand our services, we look forward to welcoming our wonderful volunteers back.
We will be continuing to provide our at-home services and we hope you will be able to join us.
We thank you for your patience as we navigate the ‘new new’. It will take some time to get back close to something resembling 'normal' and we will look forward to welcoming people to the Centre.

On a very different note: the BARKshire MS Therapy Centre Virtual Dog Show.
Usually, during a dog show, the issues are around things getting peed on and the dogs getting too familiar with each other. At the moment, the problems are little more technical. To make sure everyone can enter, we are extending it to the 4 September with the winner announced the following week. Please make sure you get your entries in ASAP and who knows - your dog may be crowned the winner! Find out more here: https://www.bmstc.org/BarkshireMSTherapyDogShow2020
We hope you have a great bank holiday weekend without the Festival traffic. Don't forget there will be no sessions on Monday.
