Meet Joy, our new Membership and Volunteer Support Officer

February 6, 2023 | Southmedia

Joy starts her new role on 20 February

Our new Membership and Volunteer Support Officer will be a familiar face to many…we’ll let Joy introduce herself….

“Hi, my name is Joy Tate and I have been appointed the role of Membership and Volunteer Support Officer at the Centre starting on 20 February.

As some of you will know I have been a volunteer at the Centre for the last 18 months and have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the Centre staff, members and their families and carers.

Prior to this I was a learning support assistant at Emmer Green Primary School working with children with behavioural and learning challenges.

Outside of work I am married with two beautiful grown-up daughters who have flown the nest, and with two very gorgeous dogs who I love walking in local parks and countryside. I also do regular-ish yoga and Pilates, and belong to a book club. My latest interest is cycling and later this year me and the hubby have booked a cycling trip from Bordeaux to Toulouse (I hasten to add that I’ll be doing it on an electric bike!

I am excited to get to know more of you as I take up the role and look forward to helping make the Centre an even more amazing place than it already is!”

Welcome to your new role Joy, we’re so glad to have you.
