January is always a busy time as we prepare our end of year accounts. As we reflect on the year that was, how do you start to evaluate 2020? The bad parts are so clear but is there anything positive? We think so.
Despite enforced social distancing, our community came together in many other ways. It is a testament to everyone’s patience, willingness to embrace change and generosity that the charity is not only still here but with a range of virtual support we wouldn’t have even dreamt of a year ago.
As for 2021?
Given the surprises that 2021 has already held, we really don’t want to guess.
One certain thing is the uncertainty. Will we return to some normality at the Centre? Will we be able to resume our bucket collections? The London Marathon ballot is announced on Monday but will the race go ahead in October? With the ban on international travel will we ever be allowed a follow up to Go Finland? We hope the answer to all these questions will be yes, but who knows?
In 2020, many people donated and fundraised for the Centre. We are very grateful for your support but we still desperately need your help
Alternatively, if you would like to make a one-off donation today, you can do so here.
We appreciate that many people find themselves in difficult times at the moment. If you need to pause or cancel your regular donation, please get in touch and we can advise how best to do this.
If you currently have a standing order, we ask you to take a moment to review your donation amount. You can do this directly with your bank online or we can send you a new form.

Thank you very much for all your help and generosity - together we can get through this.
