Yoga is an ancient discipline bringing together physical, mental and spiritual practices. It is designed to relax your mind and strengthen your body. It is widely recommended for people with Multiple Sclerosis and is included in the NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) guidelines. As with all our classes, our group is designed for people with MS. Everyone is invited to do as much as they feel is comfortable for them. If someone wishes, they can do part or all of the class seated.

Each online Yoga class includes a ‘warm up’ to prepare for movement, followed by postures that will gently stretch and strengthen the body. The class always ends with a relaxation exercise.

We have seated and floor based classes, making it accessible for wheelchair users. We offer four online sessions a week with our instructors Uddhava and Hema.

  • Wellbeing

Yoga has been great, not only as a form of exercise, but good for encouraging calmness and self-awareness. It has also been good to catch up with people and to see new faces regularly which has made me feel less isolated
