MS Carers Lunch Club
When you are diagnosed with MS, the effects do not stop with you. The effects are felt by those around you. Carers and partners play a huge role in how you manage your MS and their support is crucial. This is why, together with the Reading, Wokingham and Districts MS Society branch, we offer a MS Carers Lunch Club. Meeting on the second Thursday of every month between 12pm to 2.30pm, there is a fantastic programme planned. Transport and care may be available, please contact for more information.
'It is lovely to be able to go out for a meal which I had not prepared myself in pleasant surroundings and to be able to chat to people about ordinary things and not about MS if I did not want to. I learned a lot from others who had been carers longer than me which was useful. We support each other as much as possible and there is always a friendly voice at the end of the telephone if someone needs an ear to listen to them.'
