Trustees
Trustees are vital to the successful functioning of the centre. Because we are a limited company, Trustees are also Company Directors and have the ultimate responsibility for running the centre. The Centre Manager operates under the direction of the Trustees.
We currently have vacancies for Trustees to look after the following specific areas.
Membership Secretary
We are looking for a new Trustee to focus on membership.
The needs of members are at the very heart of the centre’s operations. Much of the work is done by volunteers, meaning that the paid staff team is kept to a minimum to ensure efficient management of the charity’s resources. The BMSTC has over 850 members, people with MS, carers or volunteers.
We would like to improve our communication with existing members and increase our membership of both people with MS and people interested in helping on a long term basis.
The membership secretary would develop and implement a strategy for increasing our membership.
