General Information

The MS Society has an excellent website which is packed with information for people with MS. The local branches at  Reading & Wokingham, Newbury & District and Maidenhead & Slough also now have their own websites which are highly recommended. The MS Trust has lots of information and publications which can be downloaded or ordered.

The BMSTC is not part of these organisations but works in partnership with them to provide help & support for people with MS.

BMSTC Members Newsletters

We produce a quarterly newsletter for members packed with useful information. It is available in a special area of this website. If you would like access, please email our Centre Manager at pippa@bmstc.org

IT Tips

IT is especially useful for people who may have limited mobility. We have a some useful tips to download here, including handling SPAM & Viruses.

Holidays

Finding holidays for the disabled is still not easy. There are several options to explore on this page.

Government Websites

There is a lot of information now available online from central and local government. Many functions can now be done online as well from applying for Carer's allowance to renewing you car tax. The best place to start is at Directgov.

For the Newly-Diagnosed

There is an excellent resource for the newly-diagnosed at the MS Society website.

Research into MS

The BMSTC does not undertake research into MS. There are several organisations sponsoring research including the MS Trust

Both the MS Trust and the MS Society have dedicated sections for Health Professionals.
