Vanessa Davis is a qualified Personal Trainer and GP Exercise Referral Specialist. She is happy to discuss your fitness requirements with you personally, whether you choose to exercise at your local gym or at the MS Therapy Centre.
Vanessa hopes to set up a Fitness Class at the Centre combining cardiovascular and conditioning in a circuit style class.
Studies have shown that regular exercise for people with MS helps maximise muscular strength and endurance, flexibility and aerobic capacity. It can help:
• Improve overall health and well being
• Optimise and maintain muscle function
• reduce the disabling impact of relapses
• reduce muscle wasting
• reduce spasticity
• improve posture
